Registration Information
Welcome to Star Valley Soccer Club (SVSC) 2026 Fall Season!
PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY.
We are excited to have your player register and be part of the first competitive soccer league in Star Valley. Thank you for helping pave the way for all the youth interested in soccer now and in the future. Below is some important information and details regarding the upcoming season.
Season Dates: The 2026 Snake River League Fall Season will begin as early as September 6th and go through the week of October 25th. Teams will begin practices as soon as mid August. Games will be played on Saturdays. Most teams will have double headers.
Cost Breakdown:
There are a few separate costs involved in registration:
1. SVSC Fee – $230
This fee includes:
Wyoming Soccer Association fee
Club registration (league, referee, and equipment fees)
Guest trainings, such as goalie training, throughout the season
SVSC teams have the opportunity to participate in at least one tournament per season. This cost is included in the SVSC fee. If a team agrees to participate in one additional tournament, the club will cover the cost through registration. If the team particpates in more than 2 tournaments, each additional tournament will have an additional charge per player, typically $50-$75 per player.
Sibling Discount: After the first registered player, you will receive a $25 discount for each additional registered sibling.
Example: If you register four children, you receive a $75 discount.
2. Uniform Kit – $120
Each player is required to have a uniform kit. See the “Uniform Kit” section below for full details.
The following is a breakdown of costs for fall season 2026 for each type of player:
Returning Players $230
SVSC Fee $230
(if player needs a new uniform see paragraph, “Uniform Kit” paragraph)
New Players $350.00
SVSC Fee $230
Uniform Kit $120
Pay in full or payment plans will be available. We want every child to have the opportunity to play soccer. If financial constraints are keeping you from proceeding, please reach out to us. We have grant funds for scholarships available. We also have used kits we may be able to sell for $50 if the kit price is a concern.
Registration: This can be a tricky system to register on. If you are new, you will want to register your email as the adult. Gotsport wants to make the adult account first. It will ask later to add your child. Fill out all the forms for one player, and at checkout, it will have an option to add an additional player. Your registration is NOT complete until you click Continue to Checkout. If you did not get this far, registration is not complete. If you are having issues registering, please contact a member of the SVSC Board of Directors.
Team Placement: Ultimately, we would like to have enough kids register to have one team for each gender/age group. We aim to have enough youth on each team to ensure ample playing time for development, as well as a healthy number of substitutes in case someone can’t participate in a game due to a scheduling conflict or injury. We don’t know how many kids we have for each age group until registration is complete. If we don’t have enough kids in one age group, we will first combine age groups to increase numbers. If we still don’t have enough players after doing that, we will look at creating a co-ed team. If we have too many kids in one age group (enough for two teams), the coaches will have an assessment practice where they will place the kids on the appropriate team for their skill level. As we learn more about our registration numbers, we will keep you all informed of the team your player will participate in and with what coach. Please note, starting in August of 2026, the age brackets have moved to a school based age so August 1st- July 31st of each year.
Practice Schedule: The practice schedule will be posted online once registration is complete and teams are created. 9U-12U will practice two nights a week for 1 ½ hours per day, for a total of 3 hours per week. 13U and above will practice three nights a week for 1 ½-2 hours per day, for a total of 4 ½-6 hours per week. Practice schedules will be created in hopes of accommodating most participants’ schedules, but please keep in mind we also must work with available fields and volunteer coach schedules. Practices will be in either Afton or Thayne, again based on field availability and coach preference.
Games/Tournaments: Teams will participate in the Snake River League in eastern Idaho, where they will play two games on a scheduled Saturday in Idaho Falls and surrounding areas. We will also be participating in 1-3 regional tournaments per season. We understand tournaments typically accrue additional costs due to travel, hotels, food, etc., but we highly recommend that all players participate if able. Tournaments are a great opportunity for the youth to get playing time and play games against teams we don’t see regularly. As more detailed information is provided, we will forward that information to each of you and post it on all platforms.
Uniform Kit: Each player is required to have our official SVSC uniform kit. For new players, after registration closes, you will be emailed a link to Aretyn, which is our uniform kit vendor, and an assigned number for your player. At Aretyn you will purchase the SVSC uniform kit, which includes two shirts (home and away), one pair of shorts, and two pairs of socks. Please order ASAP to ensure timely delivery for the beginning of the season. Shipping is typically 10 business days. Aretyn will also have a store available to purchase additional fan gear or accessories with SVSC’s logo.
Typically, SVSC will have new kits every other year, but depending on your child’s growth throughout the year or vendor availability, you may need to order it annually.
Communication: This season our teams will be using TeamSnap ONE for communication. After registration closes and teams are assigned, you will receive a notification to join the TeamSnap ONE team. Please download that app once asked and all team communciation will happen there. This includes practice times and locations as well as the game schedule.
Volunteers: At SVSC, our success is driven by the dedication of our volunteers. The hard work of many people behind the scenes makes everything we do possible. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who generously contributes their time and talents to grow the soccer community within the valley. We are always in need of more helping hands.
